All about Christ

Near the end of August, I said my goodbyes and boarded the plane for the US. To be honest, I don’t really know if it has hit me quite yet that I am no longer living overseas. Everything is still so fresh in my mind and memory that I haven’t yet “felt the difference”, even though I am starting to make my new home in Nevada.
I will simply remind all of you, as I try to continually remind myself, that it’s not about me. The newsletters, photos, emails, video updates, or whatever it may be - all of it is about Christ.
Regardless of whether you are a missionary, student, parent, called worker, office worker, or anything else, the truth remains the same for Christians - it’s all about Christ.
The beauty and joy of serving each day for God’s glory is that He decided to give us this task in the first place! None of us are worthy to be called children of God, yet that is what we are! (1 John 3:1).
What a joy it has been to serve the Lord in the Philippines, and my prayers are always with my teammates, my friends, and all those whom God will call to His Kingdom in Davao & throughout the country. Rejoice with me that God’s Word and God’s people are scattered across the globe! I want to thank you all once again for all your encouragement, support, gifts, and Christian love.
As Friends Network continues to grow in numbers, the mission fields are expanding. Eight new missionaries will move to Davao - Jeremy dela Cruz, along with a family of seven (Jacob and Heather Lambrecht and their children). They are all excited to begin their mission work in the Philippines! God be praised for the wonderful servants He has given to glorify Him through their work.
Daghang salamat! God be with you!
Seth Koelpin recently returned from Davao, Philippines where he served as an exploratory missionary for two years.
