Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the Heises and their ministry in Cebu, Philippines.
Kyle and Marisa both grew up in Wisconsin—Kyle in Green Bay and Marisa in Kenosha. Kyle graduated from Martin Luther College and has served as a youth minister and contemporary worship leader in Virginia and Minnesota. Marisa earned her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Concordia University Wisconsin.

They first met in 2014 while working at Camp Phillip and reconnected years later. In 2022, they were married and have loved serving in ministry together ever since. Their shared passions include building relationships with teens, traveling, trying new cuisines, reading, hiking, enjoying live music, and chasing waterfalls.
For their honeymoon, Kyle and Marisa visited a mission in Africa—a trip that stirred their hearts for international ministry. Since then, they’ve explored mission opportunities on three continents and have clearly felt God’s call to serve. Now, they are joyfully stepping into that call in Cebu, Philippines.
Their desire is to build genuine friendships, immerse themselves in the local culture, and remain open to every opportunity God provides. They believe that relationships rooted in Christ are at the heart of meaningful ministry and are eager to connect with the community in Cebu.
The Heises invite you to join them in prayer as they begin this journey. Please pray for the people of Cebu, that relationships will be built, hearts will be open to the Gospel, and that Kyle and Marisa will have the confidence to speak boldly about their Savior. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean the world to them as they follow where God leads.
